Journal of Nanobiotechnology Research

Peer Review Process

All manuscript submissions are initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Team. Those deemed suitable for further consideration are subjected to a rigorous peer-review process involving at least two independent, anonymous referees with recognized expertise in the relevant field and a designated Subject Editor. The entire peer-review process is conducted double-blind and online.

The journal is published quarterly in electronic format. Accepted papers, following peer review, are published online as Papers in Press prior to final production and copyediting. The Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Editorial Board are responsible for upholding the journal's editorial policies. The journal prioritizes original research that makes substantial contributions to the understanding of nanobiotechnology, biotechnology, and nanotechnology science.

JNR is committed to providing authors with constructive, fair, and timely reviews. The Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Reviewing Editors evaluate manuscripts for their scientific merit and technical quality. External referees may be consulted to provide additional expert input. Prospective authors are encouraged to suggest potential reviewers with the necessary expertise to assess their manuscript.

To maintain anonymity, all Board members and referees involved in the review process remain unknown to the authors. Submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential information by the editors and referees, who are instructed to recuse themselves from reviewing any manuscript that may involve a conflict of interest or the appearance thereof. Manuscripts that clearly do not align with the Editorial Guidelines may be rejected without a full review to expedite their submission to a more appropriate journal.
